As an example, the inventor of COBie has confirmed that ARCHICAD is 100% COBie-compliant – that’s good news for architects in the US, UK, and all other English-speaking countries. Support of national BIM standards and classification-systems is also available in exchanging information with other parties. IFC 4 defines new coordination methods (Design Transfer View and Reference View) to standardize reference model-based and parametric model-based interoperability between different disciplines.
